All-on-4 starts around $12,000 per arch with a dentist on Elena. That figure is Elena’s own, from quotes in its network. What this page does not do is print a US number next to it, and the rest of the page is about how to get that second number yourself, from your own dentist.
Why Elena doesn’t publish a US price
Because it has no source for one it would stand behind. The obvious places to get a US dental benchmark either forbid commercial use, stopped publishing years ago, or turn out to be cost-guide pages citing each other. Elena would rather leave the column empty than fill it with a number it can’t trace, especially next to a treatment it makes money from.
The number that actually decides anything is not a national average anyway. It’s the written quote your own dentist gives you, for your own mouth. Send us that quote and we’ll tell you how it compares to Colombia, and we’ll say so when your quote is already fair.
What a complete All-on-4 quote itemizes
This is the part that makes two quotes comparable, and it’s where most cross-border comparisons quietly go wrong. Ask for each of these in writing, on both sides:
- The four implants per arch, and confirmation that the price is per arch
- The surgery itself, including anesthesia and imaging
- The temporary fixed prosthesis you leave with the day of surgery
- The final, permanent prosthesis
- The second visit, three to four months later, where the final prosthesis is placed
- Anything excluded: extractions, bone grafting, or treating gum disease first
A quote that covers the first surgery only will always look cheaper than a quote that covers the whole case. That’s true in Bogotá and it’s true in Boston, and it’s the single most common reason a price comparison misleads the person making it.
Where the price difference comes from
Overhead, not materials. All-on-4 is Nobel Biocare’s own trademarked protocol, and the dentists Elena works with use the same technique, with Neodent implants from the Straumann Group. Clinic rent, staff costs, and lab fees run lower in Colombia, and that difference is most of what shows up in the quote, not a cheaper version of the procedure.
Why two trips instead of one long visit
You leave the first trip with a full, fixed set of temporary teeth, so you’re not without teeth while you heal. The jawbone needs three to four months to fuse around the implants before your dentist can safely attach the final prosthesis, which is why All-on-4 is planned as two shorter trips rather than one extended stay. Read the full All-on-4 procedure breakdown for how the trips themselves work.
Before you compare anything, check who’s quoting
A quote is only worth comparing if the dentist behind it is who they say. Elena checks the ReTHUS license, the training papers and the clinic’s REPS registration before you book either trip, free. The four checks are spelled out here.
